Rekha Bharadwaj Biography 
Rekha Bharadwaj is a Bollywood playback singer; she is a well trained classical singer too. She is married to director/music director Vishaal Bhardwaj. Among her songs, most popular songs include Genda phool of Delhi-6 of A.R. Rehman composition and ‘Darling aakhom se aakh chaar karne de’ along with Usha Uthup composed by her husband. For both these songs she won Filmfare best singer award. Till now, she has been nominated for only two times, and she won it both. She won best singer in National awards for the song, ‘Badi dheere jali’ of Ishquia for the year 2010. Her distinct voice and talent in singing the songs in a special way, make her songs easily catchable and popular among the public.
As a playback singer her debut movie was Chachi 420 in the year 1997. The song ‘Ek din woh bhi’ was composed by her husband. After that till 2006, she did only a few songs in Hindi and most of them were composed by her husband. The songs are Ye Kaisi Chaap of Jahan tum le chalo, Daaru Rum of God mother, Chutta Hai of Makdee, Rone do and Chingari of Maqbool and Namak ishq ka and Laakad of Omkara. Among all these compositions composed by Vishaal Bhardwaj, songs of Omkara made her popular. She has also sung for Kaminey, 7 Khoon maaf, Gulaal, No smoking, Hal-e-dil and Ishquiya for her husband. It is definitely true that her singing voice suits Vishal’s composition style a lot. She debut her pop singing career with an album in 2002 titled - 'Ishqa Ishqa' which was well appreciated by critics. The music album was released 10 years later its composition was done.
She is a favourite singer of music director A.R.Rehman, for whom she has sung songs – Sasural Genda Phool and Aarthi tumhara of Delhi 6 and Ranjha ranjha of Raavan. Her other popular songs include Ek thaiya moti of Laaga chunari mein daag, Raat ke dhai baje of Kaminey, waqt ne jo of Sadiyan, Mast calendar of David and popular songs Kabira and Ghagra of Yeh jawani hai diwani. Apart from Vishaal, she has worked with A.R.Rehman, Himesh Reshmiyya, Sajid Wajid, Adnan Sami, Prittam and Mikey McCleary.
