Reena Saini Kallat Biography 
Reena Saini Kallat is an Indian artist based in Mumbai. She is best known for Visual arts, installation art and Contemporary Art. She graduated from Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art. Her husband Jitish Kallat is an Indian contemporary artist based in Mumbai, best known for choosing Mumbai as the main theme of his works. He works on Painting, large-scale sculpture installations, photography, and video art, and also served as the artistic director of the second edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, an international exhibition of contemporary art, held in Kochi in 2014. They work together and conduct exhibitions too.
Reena Saini Kallat was born in 1973 in New Delhi. Currently she is based in Mumbai, and works with her husband Jitish Kallat. The couple has given some significant contributions towards Contemporary Art in the past two decades. Reena Saini Kallat graduated from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai in 1996 with a B.F.A. in painting. She works in painting, photography, video, sculpture and installation, and often incorporates multiple mediums into a single work. Kallat has worked with officially recorded or registered names of people, objects, and monuments, which have disappeared without any trace. One of the recurrent motifs in her work is the rubber stamp, used as an object and an imprint.
She conducted her first solo exhibition in 1998. Orchard of Home-grown Secrets held at Gallery Chemould and Pundole Art Gallery, Mumbai was her first solo exhibition. Seven Faces of Dust at Chicago Radio, Mumbai; The Battlefield Is The Mind at Sakshi Gallery, Bangalore; Black Flute at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai; Labyrinth of Absences at Nature Morte, New Delhi etc are some of her solo exhibitions. She has been a part of several group exhibitions since late 1990s.
