Ravikanth Perepu is a new-age filmmaker and screenwriter associated with Telugu film industry. His directorial debut movie Kshanam, released in the year 2016 opened positive reviews and critical acclaim and earned him several awards and accolades. The movie was also a box office hit. He, along with Adivi Sesh bagged State Nandi awards for Best Screenplay Writer for the film. He is married to Veena Ghantasala, granddaughter of renowned singer Ghantasala, since 2017.

Ravikanth Perepu was born in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Currently he is settled with his family in Hyderabad, Telangana State. He is married to Veena Ghantasala since 11 November 2017. His school and college education were completed in Visakhapatnam, his hometown. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam, before forayed into films.

Since the age of 9, he got attracted to movies and film direction. He happened to watch Mariratnam's Sakhi at that age, and his dream to become a film director grew along with him since then. He met Adivi Sesh through Facebook, and later they teamed up for their maiden film venture, Kshanam, released in the year 2016. When Adivi Sesh directed one film titled K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid) in 2013, Ravikanth assisted him. By that time he has already moved to Hyderabad from his hometown.

In 2016, Ravikanth directed his first Telugu film, Kshanam, a Telugu-language mystery thriller film in 2016, starring Adivi Sesh and Adah Sharma in lead roles. The movie opened to praises from critics and audience alike, and established him as a successful young director of Telugu film industry. One year later, the film was remade in Tamil as Sathya with Sibiraj, and in Hindi as Baaghi 2 in 2018.
