Ratnadeep Adivrekar Biography 
Ratnadeep Adivrekar is an Indian artist and painter from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is the son of artist Gopal S. Adivrekar. Ratnadeep graduated from Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art in Mumbai before he turned a full-time artist. He conducted his first solo exhibition in 1998 at Chavan Art Gallery, Mumbai and till now has conducted a dozen of solo exhibitions till 2017. The last one was conducted in Galerie Mukadam, Berlin. Singapore, Luxembourg and Frankfurt are other parts of the world where he has conducted his solo exhibitions. In 2017 he received ‘MVUVM Award’ for Achievement in Field of Art. He was a recipient of The Bendre Husain Scholarship in 2002.
Ratnadeep Adivrekar was born into an artistic family, with his father being a renowned painter and artist. He was born on 13 November 1974 in Mumbai. Initially he joined science stream, as he wanted to do something different from other family members, who were mostly associated with arts and paintings. The shift was just short-lived and temporary, and he wanted to become a painter. When he expressed his ambitions before his father, he asked him to do whatever he would like to do. His encouraging words prompted him to move into the world of canvas and colours. During the formative years, his father remained a major source of motivation and guidance to him.
To pursue a career in the field of arts he completed BFA in painting with first class in 1997 from the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art in Mumbai. Since then over the years he has experimented with a wide range of styles and subject matter. He has beautifully sketched beautiful coastline of scenic Konkan, its pristine sea, black rocks shining in the glowing sun, golden sands, clouds and birds. Each and every object has fascinated him. In 2001 he won National Scholarship by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. ‘MVUVM Award’ for Achievement in Field of Art in 2017 is the honour he received in the recent past.
