Ratheesh Vegha Biography 
Ratheesh Vegha is a musician, music director, background scorer and playback singer of Malayalam movies. As a music director, he made his successful debut with 2010 movie, Cocktail. The song, Neyam thanalinu thaazhe, pictured on Anoop Menon and Samvrutha Sunil was a huge chartbuster and remained at top for many weeks. It was followed by the top hit song for the year 2011, Mazhaneer Thullikal for the movie – Beautiful. Once again he composed music for Anoop Menon – Jayasurya duo. The following year too, he repeated the magic with the song, "Attumanal Payayil" for the movie, Run baby run. The song was sung by Mohanlal himself and regarded as the best song as a playback singer. "Attumanal Payayil" was the top song of Malayalam in 2012. The song earned popular song award at many award functions. In 2013, he received Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Music Director for his music score for the movie, Orissa.
Born in Palakkad, Ratheesh completed his degree in music from Madras University. He did a short course in sound engineering and still he continues his formal training in Carnatic music under Thrissur R. Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar. His real dream was to become a Carnatic singer though he became a composer. He has also been associated with Asianet, hosting many music shows for nearly two years before he got attached to film field.
Once he happened to meet Gopi Sunder, the noted music director and programmer which proved to be the turning point of his career. It was Gopi’s suggestion to try music composition and he also promised to introduce Ratheesh to cine celebrities. He started working on jingles and won the Pepper Award for jingles in 2010. He also composed music for a couple of private albums, ‘Cafe Love' and ‘Njanum Ente Ayyappa' which turned successful. He was introduced to Milan Jaleel, by one of his friends who was impressed by his work in ‘Café Love’. Cocktail was a big entry to film field. Silence, Ladies and Gentleman, Mullassery Madhavan Kutty Nemom P. O., Lokpal, Rebecca Uthup Kizhakkemala, D Company and Poppins are other popular works.
