Ranjon Ghoshal Biography 
Ranjon Ghoshal is a founder member of the Bangla band Moheener Ghoraguli. He also owns an an advertising agency, Mareech Advertising in Bangalore and a theatre group - Forum Three. He has been active in theatre since late 1970’s and a few of his popular plays, as an actor, Producer and Director are Waiting for Godot, Hayavadana, Rajrokto, Shah Jahan, The Zoo Story, An Audience With The King, Ram-jatra, End Game, Jagannath, Story of a Half-man, Mareech, the Legend, Baki Itihas, Sajano Bagan, Banchharam's Orchard, The Other Side of History, Baro-pishima and Lathi. He has also scripted and acted in a few plays based on Tagore’s life - Hello Tagore – 2009, Hello Rabindranath – 2010 and A Journey With Tagore – 2011. He also writes poetry and fiction in both Bangla and English.
He was born in a small town named Memari of Burdwan district, West Bengal on 7 June 1955. Leela and Tarapada Ghoshal are his parents, both belonging to Barisal district of Bangladesh. Tarapada was a retired employee from Govt. of India's political intelligence bureau and Leela, a homemaker. Ranjon has three elder brothers and a younger brother. He is the cousin of Gautam Chattopadhyay, founder of India’s first music band. On the 27th of April, 1980, Ranjon married Sangeeta.
When his cousin Gautam Chattopadhyay founded India’s first band in 1975, Ghosal was one among its associate members. He was the presenter of the band and also wrote lyrics for the band. He holds electrical engineering degree from Jadavpur University and PGD in Industrial Management, NITIE, Mumbai. He has worked with BHEL for a short period, before starting his advertising company. He currently resides in Bangalore with his wife and two children.
