Rakesh Masih Biography 
Rakesh Masih is an Indian professional footballer who hails from Gurdaspur, Punjab. He plays primarily as a defender for his team. He is currently a member of Calcutta Football League. A product of Tata Football Academy, he has previously played for several football clubs of India such as Mohun Bagan A.C, Salgaocar, Mohammedan S.C, Atletico de Kolkata, East Bengal Club etc, and he got into professional career since 2004. He has made 5 appearances for team India in 2010.
Rakesh Masih hails from Bulewal, Gurdaspur, Punjab. He was born on 18 March 1987. His football career began with Tata Football Academy, where he played for four years since 2004. He was one of the finest players of this batch at TFA, who also got opportunity to play for India Under-23 side in 2007 when he was a player of the academy. He was a member of 2008 Olympic qualifiers. He signed Mohun Bagan A.C in 2008 and played for the team for the next 5 years. He scored three goals in 23 appearances made for this elite club, and had a wonderful first season too.
His performances in the 2008–09 season won him nominations for the "Best Young Player" and "Best Player Of The Year (Fans' Choice)" categories at FPAI Awards. Masih made his international debut in 2010 against Hong Kong. Unfortunately because of injuries, he couldn’t play for Mohun Bagan A.C many games later. In 2013 he was signed by Salgaocar and in the following season by Mohammedan S.C on loan. In 2014 he was signed by Atletico de Kolkata and he made 9 appearances. He later played for East Bengal Club and Baghajatin B and C Block Durgotsav Committee.
