Rajmohan Pillai Biography 
Rajmohan Pillai is an Indian businessman, entrepreneur and author who currently serves as the Chairman of Beta Group, a food processing and export company. He is a leading businessman in cashew business in Kerala. He hails from Kollam, Kerala. He played a key role to establish KJP Research Foundation, named in honor of his late father, K. J. Pillai. He was awarded a Doctorate in Business Management by the New Age International University of Seborga, Europe in 2006. Rajmohan has also published a few non-fiction books till now. A Wasted Death, K. Janardhanan Pillaiyude Jeevitham Daivathinte Nadakom and The World Cashew Industry. He is the younger brother of business tycoon, Rajan Pillai – known as ‘Biscuit king’ and whose death in police custody became controversial in 1995.
Dr. J. Rajmohan Pillai was born in Kollam on 12 May 1964. He was born into a prominent business family of Kollam, who has ventured into cashew business, one of the leading industries in Kollam district. His father was a famous and successful businessman K. J. Pillai. After completing his education from Thiruvananthapuram, he ventured into family business in the early 1980s. His family was associated with Beta Industries, an exporter of cashew nuts since early 1900s. This company is based on Netherlands.
Rajmohan Pillai formed the Beta Group as a conglomerate of nine companies.the company was dedicated to his elder brother Rajan Pillai who faced an unfortunate death in police custody due to neglect of proper medical treatment. Though Rajmohan primary concentrated on to cashew business, he also owned diverse plans such as fruit drinks, almonds, dates and pistachios. The group also owns the brands - Nut King and Ole. In 2008 he was convicted of fraud over a letter of credit in 2008, alongside other three persons.
