Rajiv Laxman Biography

Rajiv Laxman is a co-host of one of the most popular shows on MTV - MTV Roadies, targeted for youth. It was an experimental project of his twin brother – Raghu ram in 2000, which later became an instant hit. The show was hosted by Raghu Ram, Ranvijay Singh and Rajiv Laxman himself, started in the year 2001. Raghu Ram is a reality television host, former senior supervising producer and executive producer associated with MTV, known for the reality shows such as shows MTV Roadies and MTV Splitsvilla. Noted film actress - Sugandha Garg of ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ fame is his sister-in-law. Ram and Rajiv are identical twins. The twins have made a cameo appearance in Farah khan’s Tees Maar Khan in 2010.

 

Rajiv Laxman was born on 15 April 1975 at Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He has one identical twin – Raghu Ram who is also into the television line. His father was a banker while his mother, a journalist and both the kids were raised in Delhi. They have a younger sister Supriya Nistala who is currently settled in Singapore with her husband and kid. The brothers schooled at Woodstock School in Landour, Uttarakhand and later studied at University of Delhi in Delhi, Deshbandhu College, Sri Venkateswara College and finally completed graduation from Osmania University in Hyderabad.

 

It was his brother’s idea for the experimental show – MTV roadies and Laxman too got associated with it since its launch in 2001. The show became an instant hit. Rajiv was made to go bald for Roadies to look like a replica of Raghu. He is known for his sense of humour, unlike his twin brother who is a bit serious. He does amazingly funny mimicry of the participants. He is also involved in production work of the Stunt reality show – Jaanbaaz.
