Raj Tarun Biography

Raj Tarun is an upcoming actor of Telugu cinema, who is also known as a writer. He made his Tollywood debut as an actor through the movie - Uyyala Jampala in 2013, which helped him to bag South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Debut Actor. Cinema Choopista Maava and Kumari 21F are his latest releases, both released in 2015. All these three movies received positive response from critics and turned to be box office hits as well. Now this budding young actor has a series of releases in 2016. He is to star in a silent film directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Seethamma Andaalu-Ramayya Sithralu and an untitled project of Geeta Arts are other releases.

Tarun was born on May 11, 1993 in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. Tarun started off with short films and appeared in 52 short films, where he played the role of actor, writer as well as director. His real dream was to become a director. However he landed into acting and all his movies turned to be blockbusters. Uyyala Jampala in 2013 was his first feature film, where he played the lead role. He also carried away with his roles of a screenwriter and dialogue writer. When a fresh young face was demanded to play the lead role, Tarun landed to play the protagonist as well. He was paired with actress Avika Gor and their successful pairing gave one more box office hit - Cinema Chupista Maava.

For his third film and Kumari 21F, he was paired with Hebah Patel. With strong praises from critics, the movie turned out to be a blockbuster. Tarun is a college drop who left his engineering studies in the middle. He directed his first short film at the age of 16.
