Rahul Kumar (actor) Biography

Rahul Kumar is a noted child artist associated with Bollywood and Hindi television soaps. He played the role of canteen boy in Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots. His character name was Millimeter and people still call him with this name, which he loves. Though his role as a child artist was small, this role gave him a big break to his acting career. Earlier, he acted as Saif Ali Khan's son in Omkara and as Tikku, a village boy in The Blue Umbrella. Both were award winning movies. Now turned to a youngster, he is associated with plays. Currently he also appears in television show - Yam Hain Hum on SAB TV since 2015 and Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil, and has also been featured in a few commercials.

Rahul Kumar was born in 1995 at Almora, Uttarakhand. Since the age of three he is associated with movies and theater as a child actor. He made his Bollywood debut at the age of 10, playing the role of Tikku in national award winning film – The Blue Umbrella (2005). The movie received National Film Award for Best Children's Film. The following year he was seen as Langda Tyag, the son of Saif Ali Khan in the highly praised film ‘Omkara’. But it was his role as Millimeter in 3 Idiots, which earned him real success. Kareena Kapoor played lead heroine in both Omkara and 3 Idiots.

He attended the audition of 3 Idiots at Delhi, without even knowing that it’s Hirani’s movie or Aamir Khan is playing the male lead. They liked his looks and he got selected for the role. Working with Aamir Khan has been an experience worth cherishing for Rahul. Now busy with television soaps, he has also done a few promo ads of IPL - Indian Premier League, ZEE Zindagi Channel and Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2015. He was also seen in TV ads of Britannia Biscuits, Idea Cellular etc.
