Rahul Johri Biography 
Rahul Johri is an Indian administrator and media personality who currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Board of Control for Cricket in India. He carries a series of duties including the promotion of the game of cricket, functioning of operations, stakeholder management and building strategies for the cricketing events. He was selected as ‘CEO of the Year’ at the Broadcasting Industry Awards in 2013. His name was listed amongst the top 10 Sports Business Executives of the Year by Sport Business in the year 2017. BCCI CEO faced sexual harassment charges in 2018 was found ‘not guilty’ by an independent panel comprising retired Justice Rakesh Sharma, former Delhi Commission for Women chief Barkha Singh and Lawyer/Activist Veena Gowda.
Johri’s education was completed at Bareilly College, MJP Rohilkhand University and Sherwood College, Nainital. He holds an MBA degree. After studies he worked in media field for more than 2 decades. He exclusively worked in news channels, magazines and news dailies. He rose to prominent positions within the media industry such as Board Member and Treasurer of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation, member of the media and entertainment committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries and FICCI etc. He was also present at Executive Board of the Indo American Chambers of Commerce, before he joined Indian Cricket Association as an administrator.
He assumed power as the first Chief Executive Officer at the Board of Control for Cricket in India on 1st June, 2016. He supervised the Indian Cricket team’s current sponsorship agreement, and also played a magnificent role in doubling the sale of IPL broadcast rights, thus improving the revenue. He also led BCCI to conduct a transparent media rights auction for domestic and international cricket in 2018.
