Ragini Khanna Biography

Ragini Khanna is a successful television actress and star anchor. Her role of "Suhana Kashyap" in family drama, Sasural Genda Phool of Star Plus made her a popular figure. She debut in the year 2008 with Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi of NDTV Imagine followed by lead role in Sony TV's romantic-comedy show Bhaskar Bharti (2009). She appeared as a contestant of Jhalak Diklaaja season 4 and hosted its next season. She has also successfully hosted India’s Best Dramebaaz in 2013. She made debut to Bollywood with the movie, Teen Thay Bhai in 2011. Her debut Punjabi movie - Bhaji in Problem is to release this November, 2013.

 
Khanna was born on December 9, 1984 in Mumbai to Praveen Khanna and Kamini Khanna. Her elder brother Amit Khanna is an upcoming model and artist of television. She did her schooling at R. N. Shah High School and later took Master in Commerce from University of Mumbai. As a child, she learnt music and wanted to pursue a career in music. But later she landed herself in acting territory. Khanna started her career with print and television ads. She did more than 25 ads before joining television.

 
In 2008, she debut small screen with Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi on NDTV Imagine. Her character name was Ragini Sharma. In 2009, she played the lead role in Bhaskar Bharti. She also appeared as a guest in an episode of 10 Ka Dum hosted by Salman Khan. She has also appeared in a special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 4. Khanna portrayed the role of an unconventional daughter-in-law, "Suhana Kashyap" in Sasural Genda Phool made her an established name of small screen. In January 2013, she appeared in Life OK's cookery show Welcome - Baazi Mehmaan-Nawaazi ki. She has also appeared as guest in Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family, Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai and Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki. She is active in stage performances of award ceremonies also.
