Raghu Mukherjee Biography

Raghu Mukherjee is a successful Indian model and Kannada actor. He won the prestigious 'Grasim' Mr. India and Mr. International title both held at New Delhi, India in the year 2002. After establishing himself as a successful model, he entered Kannada movies as an actor. Dandupalya (2012) and Savaari (2009) are his noted movies and commercial hits. He debut film industry in the year 2003, with the movieParis Pranaya directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekar which received negative responses at box office as well as from critics. After a lot of struggles, he achieved fame through the movie, Savaari in 2009. For the movie Dandupalya in 2012, he received SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He is married to Bhavana.

Raghu Mukherjee was born in April 1981 in Bangalore. He belongs to a Bengali family though born and brought up in Karnataka. In February 2002, he received 'Grasim' Mr. India title. He is the first south Indian to win this title and his experience in modelling helped him a lot to win this title. Very soon he received many modelling offers and pursued a career in modeling for a short while. His ultimate dream is to enter Bollywood and hence sent his portfolio to leading film makers like Karan Johar and Mahesh Bhatt. He loves to go long drives aside country shores and prefers to launch in casual wear.  

As an actor, he got recognition through Savaari. Later he appeared in Kannada movies like Prema Chandrama and Nee Illadhe. He got his first award through the movie, Dandupalya in 2012. He received SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for this highly successful gangster drama. His upcoming project is Angulimala where he plays the role of Buddha.
