Radhika Chaudhari Biography

Radhika Chaudhari is an Indian actress who worked in south Indian film industry during the early 2000s apart from a few Hindi films. Appeared in around 30 films, her most notable ones are Tere Naam and Khushi, both released in Hindi. She played the pivot role of a dumb beggar in Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam. She has also done a few item songs for south Indian films. In 2011, she made a great comeback as a director by winning the prestigious Silver Ace Award for Best Short Film at the Las Vegas Film Festival, for her critically acclaimed short film Orange Blossom. This 17-minute film shot in 4 days in Los Angeles told the story of a single mother going through the pangs of separation from her spouse.

Radhika completed her Masters in Mass Communications from Pune. She started her film career with south Indian films, mostly character roles in the late 1990s. She was seen in 1999 Telugu film – Sambaiah, followed by two Tamil films the same year; Kannupada Poguthaiya and Time, where she played the second lead aside Simran and Prabhudeva. She is known for her glamorous avatar in Tamil films. Later she appeared in Tamil movies like Simmasanam, Krodham 2, Priyamaanavale, Middle Class Madhavan, Kunguma Pottu Gounder, Paarthale Paravasam, Shakkalakka Baby, Vikadan etc.

She played female lead opposite Prem Menon in Krodham 2, film directed by Prem Menon himself. She made her Kannada debut with the film - Huchhana Maduveli Undone Jana in 2001 and has appeared in movies like Nandhi. Mee Intikosthe Emistaaru Maa Intikoste Emi Testaaru, Oka Pellam Muddu Rendo Pellam Vaddu, Aithe Enti, Tappuchesi Pappukoodu and Nuvvu Nenu are her Telugu releases. Though she appeared in around 30 movies, she failed to make a mark in the industry.
