Raaj J. Konwar Biography 
Raaj J Konwar is an Indian playback singer from Assam who is active in Bollywood as well as Assamese movies. He is known for his association with Bollywood director Shamir Tandon, who has given his opportunity to sing in movies like Sadda Adda, Click, Acid factory, Mission Istanbul, Ragini MMS and Superstar. His first break to Bollywood too was given by Shamir Tandon with 2008 movie, Superstar. He has also released a few private albums in Assamese of which "Olox Abeli” has received many awards and nominations at music award functions. In the year 2012, he was nominated in Star Dust award for Best New Sensation of the year for his song in Ragini MMS. The song was ‘Itna kareeb aao’. He married Liza Konwar in the year 2013.
He belongs to Nakari of North Lakhimpur born in the year 1975. His schooling was done at his hometown and he graduated from Guwahati, the commercial capital of Assam. While at college, he started a music band ‘Dynasty’ and has also been associated with the band, Hoboes where he was the lead singer. He completed his law studies from Mumbai. He reached Mumbai in 1996 with an ambition to release a private album. He was encouraged a lot by his elder brother who also financially supported him during this period.
He had to wait 8 long years to get a singing opportunity in Bollywood. It happened with 2008 movie Super star in which he sang the popular track – Ajnabi. The music composer of the movie Shamir Tandon gave him opportunities in many of his projects later. "Olox Abeli” is one of the successful albums of his career which received nomination for best singer and best lyrics at Ramdhenu TV Viewers Choice Awards 2013.
