Puvisha Manoharan Biography

Puvisha Manoharan is a film actress who predominantly works in south Indian movies. She also works in Bollywood. ‘Paradesi’ and ‘Chennai Express’ are among the top film works of Puvisha. She is also a successful model. She hails from Malaysia and is a Tamilian by birth. Puvisha has also proved her skills in hockey, swimming, martial arts and athletics. She is a trained Bharathnatyam dancer too. She played the lead lady in the Kannada action film ‘Jil Jil’ helmed by director Madhu. She has worked as a model for some of the leading brands like Nokia Ad (Malaysia), Superstar North Indian Bride, Colgate and also Ervamatin Hair Oil ad.


Also known as Puvisha, she was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. August 7 is her birthday. A classical Bharatanatyam dancer, she trains students and also perform globally. She performed in US for the first time as a teenager. Yet she always nursed an ambition to become an integral part of the film industry. Manoharan was born in Malaysia to Tamil parents, and started her film career with one Tamil film, Paradesi released in 2013. Same year she marked her film debut through Shah Rukh Khan – Deepika starrer comedy entertainer, Chennai Express. She was casted in the brief role of Deepika Padukone’s cousins in the hit film.


In 2014 she made her Telugu film debut with Jagannayakudu and in 2015 made her Kannada film debut with Jil Jil. In short, she appeared in one movie each from Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu languages, marking her film debut in each one. She has played both lead and supporting roles onscreen, and is yet to find her foot in the film industry. She has also appeared in several TV ads. Her parents are Manoharan Nadarajah and Rajeswary Manoharan. Her brother is deceased now, and she has one sister.
