Punit Pathak Biography

Punit Pathak is an Indian actor, dancer and choreographer associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He marked his professional debut with the dance reality show, Dance India Dance (season 2) in 2009, and his success as a dancer also helped him to bag a role in the dance oriented film, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, marking his screen debut in 2014. He also played an important role in its sequel, ABCD 2 and 2018 film, Nawabzade. He has acted as a judge and mentor for dance reality shows like Dance India Dance (season 2 and 3) and has also choreographed dance shows like Dance Champions. He has trained numerous contestants for dance reality shows.

Punit J. Pathak hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was born on 1 November 1987. His father is from Gujarat and mother from Garhwal. He has a brother named Nishit Pathak. Punit completed his graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. After his graduation, he started following his dreams and pursued his career in the field of dance and films. The handsome hunk is 5 feet 5 inch tall in height, and his attractive body physique of 163 lbs helped him to gain success in the field of dance.

At the age of 17, Punit received the dance training scholarship from Terence Lewis’ Dance Academy. There were rumours that he was dating Shakti Mohan, and they have acted as judges for one dance show on television. He shares an amazing friendship with his ABCD co-actress, Lauren Gottileb, with whom he contested in the dance show, Jhalak Dikh Laa Jaa. When she came to Mumbai for the first time, she stayed with him, and their chemistry for the dance show did wonders on small screen.
