Puja Gupta (actress) Biography

Puja Gupta is a Bollywood actress known for parallel leads and supporting roles. She is best known for the movies - Vicky Donor and Mickey Virus. She played parallel lead Chutnet, a computer hacker in 2013 movie – Mickey Virus aside Manish Paul and Elli Avram. She essayed the role of Ayushmann Khurana’s clamorous neighbour and a young college girl in 2012 hit – Vicky Donor. She is to debut Hollywood with Land Of Leopold, where she plays the lead role of Corrina, who has serious suicidal tendencies. The movie is directed by Sean Brosnan, son of Hollywood star Pierce Brosnan. She played small roles in Blood Money and OMG – Oh My God! Her latest release is Samrat & Co. (2014).

Puja was born and brought up in Delhi. She lived many years in US before she returned to India. She started her career as a stage actress in the plays of Paresh Rawal and later moved to movies. Through Paresh Rawal’s play, Dear Father, she was introduced to the world of theater. After doing brief roles in Blood Money and OMG – Oh My God!, Vicky Donor was her first meaty role. She got a good role and parallel lead in Mickey Virus where she appeared in a tomboy and one among the gang members of computer hackers.

She was introduced to Sean and his team by one of her friends and she later worked with them in California. They were impressed by her videos on you tube. That’s how she bagged her debut Hollywood movie. The movie shooting is scheduled to start in October. She plays the role of Corrina, undergoing a rehabilitation process.
