Priyanka Kandwal Biography

Priyanka Kandwal is a budding actress associated with south Indian film industry. A north Indian girl, she appears in Kannada and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut with Kannada film ‘Nee Naade Naa’ and Malayalam debut with ‘Style’ opposite Unni Mukundan. Priyanka hails from Dehradun, Uttarakand. She is a successful model too who has been featured in several TV ads. She took a 7-day workshop before she made her Malayalam film debut through Style. Her recent release Style was released on 2 January 2016. She played the female lead in this movie, and Tovino Thomas also played a pivot role in this flick.

She belongs to Dehradun, Uttarakand. She has graduated in commerce. She started off her career as a model before moving to acting roles. She was also seen in the Hindi television soap ‘Pavithra Rishta’ before her big screen debut. Later she moved towards south and appeared a few TV commercials as well. Kannada film ‘Nee Naade Naa’ opposite Prajwal Devaraj marked her acting debut. She bagged her first Malayalam project in the year 2015. The action thriller movie was directed by Binu S of Itihaasa fame.

When she accepted the movie, she was not familiar with director’s previous hit or Malayalam cinema. The movie was scripted by Dominic Arun and Anil Narayanan. Though the film does not have much anticipation till the first look, soon after the release of the trailer, it gathered positive reviews. Though the movie was to release in December 2015, its release date was pushed to January. The thriller received good reviews from critics. She played Unni Mukundan’s love interest Diya in the film. The actress is currently working on her Bollywood debut film.
