Premgi Amaren Biography 
Premji Amaren is an Indian playback singer and an actor who has also composed music for many films. He has a star value by birth as he is the son of the veteran music composer Gangai Amaran.
Premji Amaren was born on 3rd February 1979 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. His original name is Ganesh Gangai Amaren. He is also known as Prem G Amaren where G refers to his father Gangai Amaran, but later came to be called as Premji Amaren. He has one brother Venkat Prabhu who is a film director and actor. The popular music composer Ilayaraja is his uncle.
Premji Amaren was interested in music composing from his younger years and so he started his career as an assistant music composer and worked with his cousin Yuvan Shankar Raja. He entered the film industry as an actor in 2006 through the film Vallavan starring Silambarasan. He assumed the comedy role in the first film directed by his brother Venkat Prabhu titled Chennai 600028. This established his career as a comedian.
He composed music for some films like Nenjathai Killathe, Thozha and Adhe Neram Adhe Idam. Some of the films that he has acted include Kanda Naal Mudhal, Vallavan, Chennai 600028, Satham Podathey, Thozha, Santosh Subramaniam, Sathyam, Saroja, Silambattam, Goa, Mankatha, Kazhugu, Podaa Podi, Settai, etc. His film Mankatha won him awards.
