Preeti Shenoy Biography

Preeti Shenoy is a noted young writer of India at present. She has been listed among the Forbes List of the 100 most influential celebrities of India in 2013 edition and author of many bestsellers. Life Is What You Make It, 34 Bubblegums and Candies, Tea for Two and a Piece of Cake, The Secret Wishlist and The One You Cannot Have are her noted works. Photography, yoga and sociology are her other interests. Her latest book, The One You Cannot Have, received positive reviews from readers.

Pune is her hometown and now resides in Bangalore. She schooled at different Kendriya Vidhyalaya schools all over India. She started developing her writing skills since an early age. But she decided to take it seriously after the success of her blog started in 2006. She received positive responses from readers of her blog and many encouraged her to write further and publish books. In 2008, she was invited to newspaper Times of India, where she started writing columns, followed by Reader's Digest "Joy". Her works got republished. She began writing her first book, 34 Bubblegums and Candies, a collection of narratives based on real life incidents and this book was published in 2008.

She is a self-taught painter and is known for her excellent works in water colours, oils and mixed media. Her second book 'Life Is What You Make It' was among the top selling books of 2011 in India and her third book 'Tea For Two and a Piece of Cake' which released in 2012 was one among the top five best-selling Indian fiction of 2012. Her fourth, 'The Secret Wish List' was released in 2012. Preeti Shenoy's fifth book, 'The One You Cannot Have' was released in November 2013.
