Pratima Singh Biography
Pratima Singh is an Indian sportswoman who plays the game of basketball. She is one of the members of the Indian women’s national basketball team.
Pratima Singh was born on 6th February 1990 in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. She belongs to a family of basketball players wherein her sister Priyanka Singh serves as the NIC basketball coach and her other sisters Divya Singh, Prashanti Singh and Akanksha Singh are the members of the India women’s national basketball team. They are popularly known as Singh Sisters.
Her talents in basketball gave her entry into the Junior Indian Girls team in 2006 and in 2008 she was made as the captain of the junior team. Under her leadership the team has won many medals. In the All India Inter University tournament held at Kottayam in 2010, she led the Delhi University Team and won gold medal in that.
In the All India University Basketball Championship held at Nallor, she served as the vice captain of the University of Delhi team which won the gold medal. She also has bagged many best player titles in the university level matches. In an open online contest, she has been nominated as the second Most Glamorous Sports Women.
