Prasad Barve Biography

Prasad Barve is a television actor and voice over artist associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He has dubbed for several Hollywood films to Hindi. Barve has also appeared in a few TV ads. He shared screen space with Aamir Khan for Tata Sky ad and was also seen in Cadbury’s shots ad. He played lead role in Pritam Pyare Aur Woh and supporting role in Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal. Both these shows became extremely popular. Ivan in 2003 film, Barbie of Swan Lake and Po in the Kung Fu Panda series are his best works as a voice over artist. Prasad was popular for doing comic roles on television and has done brief roles on big screen too.

He was born in Mumbai in 1981. He started his acting career as a child artist through the movie – Vishwavinayak (1994) . The supernatural series – Shree marked his acting debut as an adult actor, where he played the brief role of Nihaal, protagonist’s pal. His debut role had comedy shades. It was followed by his second comic role for the series, Dill Mill Gayye. After that he mostly received comic roles for television and movies. He regularly appeared in television ads as well. He enjoys cooking, and has once participated in a cookery show for a Marathi channel. He likes Chinese food most.

He gained success as a voice actor also. He acted in the Bollywood film, Hide & Seek. His lead role as Pyare in Pritam Pyare Aur Woh on SAB TV is his most noted television show up-to-date. He also played a pivotal role as Randhir Faujdar, the husband of Mohini Faujdar in the comedy drama series, Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal. Apart from live action films, he also works as a voice actor for animated films and cartoons.
