Pracheen Chauhan Biography

Pracheen Chauhan is a popular actor of television who has played both lead and supporting roles. Made his television debut with Star Plus’ popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay as Subroto Basu, he was later seen in a series of roles before he took a temporary break from the industry. Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr, Hatim, Kutumb, Kuchh Jhuki Palkain, Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka & Saat Phere are some of the noted roles he played onscreen and was last seen in Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg as Shubh on Colors TV. He had a serious relationship with his co-actress Archana Taide which resulted in a break up and Pracheen too took a break from the industry. Archana later married her co-star Aashish Sharma in 2013.

Chauhan is a native of Ahmedabad. He made his television debut in the year 2001 through television series directed by Ekta Kapoor - Kasautii Zindagii Kay. He portrayed the supporting role of Subroto Basu in his debut television series. Got noticed with his first work, he later acted in so many television series for about one decade before he moved to Pakistani serials. He took a year-long-sabbatical from the Hindi TV industry and shot for a Pakistani series Mala. The actor feels that Pakistani television is technically 10 years back comparing Indian. Yet he liked the experience, though he had some payment related issues towards the end. During this time he also got attracted to Buddhism and spirituality, and feels more mature and better person than ever before.

Though Pracheen had some relationships earlier, his relationship with Archana Taide was quite serious. They met for the first time on the sets of Maat Pitaah Ke Charno Mein and soon their friendship blossomed into love. They had a two-and-a-half year courtship and were all set to tie the knot, when they parted in 2011.
