Piyush Pandey Biography 
Piyush Pandey is the co-executive chairman and national creative director of Ogilvy & Mather India, one of the leading ad agencies of India. He also serves as the vice-chairman of O&M Asia-Pacific. He is quite familiar to Indian TV viewers as the the person who penned the lyrics of the iconic song - "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" for Doordarshan in 1988, to promote national integration and unity in diversity. The song is quite nostalgic to TV viewers of 1980s. It was composed and arranged by famous Marathi composer Ashok Patki and Godfather of Indian Jazz - Louis Banks. Piyush Pandey was awarded with the civilian honour Padma Shri most recently in 2016. He was seen in Bollywood film Madras Cafe as a cabinet secretary.
Pandey was born in Jaipur in 1955. He was a cricketer during his younger days and has played Ranji Trophy. He worked as a tea taster. After doing his degree and PG, he started his career in the corporate sector. He joined McAleer and Keenor's company in 1982 where he worked for next seven years, followed by O&M in creative department. He moved to the positions till he reached national creative director. In 1995 he was nominated to the Board of directors and in 2004 was appointed executive chairman for Ogilvy India and South Asia. Currently he serves as the vice-chairman of Ogilvy Asia-Pacific.
During his association with the company, it reached new heights in the ad world. In 2006 he was nominated for Ogilvy worldwide board. Some of his notable ad campaigns include Fevicol, Fevikwick, Vodafone, Cadbury’s, Asian Paints, Kinetic Luna etc. He has also done campaigns to promote tourism, apart from election campaigns. He is also a screenwriter who co-scripted for the Bollywood film - Bhopal Express. He was a jury member on the 2000 Clio Awards, at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
