Peter Mukerjea Biography 
Peter Mukerjea is a former executive associated with Indian television. Famed as one of the top executives in Indian television industry, he served as the CEO of STAR India – the leading television network and played a significant role in converting a loss-making organization to India's most-watched television channel. Indian soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Amitabh Bachchan's quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati helped to gain viewers and popularity a lot. Later he joined INX Media as chief strategy officer and worked for two years. Indrani Mukerjea – the main convict of Sheena Bora murder case is his wife. Sheena Bora is his step-daughter.
His real name is Pratim Mukerjea and he was born in UK. His father was a doctor. He has one younger brother. He studied at Doon school in Dehradun, India and later completed studies in UK. He attended evening business management classes. Peter married Shabnam Singh on September 9, 1975 and the couple had two children. The marriage ended in 1975. His son Rahul Mukerjea came to limelight with recent Sheena Bora murder case and it’s believed that both had a love relationship.
Peter worked in Star India, Mumbai. He was named the first Indian Tennessee Squire by Brown-Forman Corporation in the year 2000. He was introduced to Indrani Bora by Alyque Padamsee in 2002. Indrani was working as a HR then. Peter knew about her first marriage only. He was unaware of the fact that Indrani had a relationship with Sanjeev Khanna and had two children. After Peter’s marriage with Indrani, Indrani’s kid from first marriage moved to his family. She also introduced Sheena and Mikhail Bora as her younger siblings. They too stayed with them. From 2012 till 2015, the Mukerjeas stayed at different places – India and abroad. When investigation of Sheena Bora’s missing case started, Peter still believed that both were Indrani’s younger siblings.
Mukerjea started his career in marketing with foreign company, Heinz. He has worked with the advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather as Account Director. In 1993 he joined STAR TV as Sales Director (India) in Hong Kong. After a series of promotions he became Chief Executive Officer of STAR India.
