Payal Rohatgi Biography 
Payal Rohatgi is an Indian actress and television anchor. She appears in Hindi film industry and is also a model. She was born on 9th November 1978 in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad in India. Her parents are Veena Rohatgi and Shashank Rohatgi. She has one brother, Gaurav Rohatgi. She belongs to a middle class family and was brought up in Ahmadabad in Gujarat state.
Payal Rohatgi studied at Udgam School and got her engineering degree from L. D. College of Engineering at Ahmedabad. Though she is a computer engineer she chose the modeling industry and appeared for popular brands like Nirma, Amul and Nescafe. She was involved romantically with Rahul Mahajan during the season two of the television show Bigg Boss in 2008. Later she complained of physical assault and the couple broke off. She is said to be dating with the South African cricketer, Herschelle Gibbs in 2010.
Her television ad for Cadbury Temptations Chocolates gained attention. She also appeared in some music videos like Silm Route and Kay Kay. In 2002, she took part in the Femina Miss India contest and won the Miss Tourism World award in Medellin in South America. She appeared with Virendar Sehwag in the ad film Lal Dantmanjan for Dabur directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
She also acted in some films like Plan, Rakht and Police Force. Her film 36 China Town with Shahid Kapoor gave her a break. She won critical acclaim for the film Corporate. She appeared in the cameo role with Ranvir Shorey in the film Ugly Aur Pagli in 2008. She appeared on stage for the first time in play, Four Play on 16th October 2010 in Mumbai by Vandana Sajnani Khattar.
Her relationship with Rahul Mahajan led to lots of controversies. She also appeared in the adventurous game show Khatron Ke Khiladi. In the year 2009, he took part in the Comedy Circus – Chinchpokli to China on Sony TV. She also appeared on the NDTV Imagine show Raaz Pichle Janam Ka.
She works for the cause of rehabilitation of drugs addicts and alcoholics. She is working with NGO Jeevan Dhara in Mumbai. She received the first award of excellence in the field of arts by International Creative Arts Society in ICAS in Ahmadabad.
