Pawan Singh Biography

Pawan Singh is a very popular actor associated with Bhojpuri films. He is also a noted singer for movies. He started his career as a singer and released a few albums, before he made his film debut. Started his career in 1997 releasing his first album - Odhaniya Wali (1997), he later released many albums like Kaanch Kasailli (2005). In 2007 he was a vocalist for the pop album, Lokgeet. He released his single Lollypop Lageli in 2008. He made his acting debut in 2007 with the film, Rangli Chunariya Tohre Naam and since then he has played lead role in around 50 films.  Kurukshetra, Kartavya, Rangbaaz Draoga etc are among his blockbuster hits.

Pawan Singh is a native of Ara, Bhojpuri district, Bihar. He started his music journey in the late 1990s. Odhaniya Wali (1997) was his debut album. Later he became popular through numerous singles and albums he released over the years. Yet Pawan is better known as an actor than a singer. Now regarded as one of the super stars of Bhojpuri film industry, some of his latest releases are Leke Aaja Band Baja Ae Pawan Raja, Karj Virashat Ke, Bin Bajaye Sapera, Lagi Chhute Na Rama, Hukumat, Nahale Pe Dahala, Suhag, Sangram, Ganga Putra, Sarkar Raj, Mukabala etc. He made his acting debut exactly 10 years after his singing debut. Honey Singh has remixed a few of his Desi Bhojpuri songs and used for international albums. ‘Love Dose' used Pawan’s 2006 popular songs.

Pawan was married to Neelam Singh. She reportedly committed suicide at their home residence on March 8, 2015. Surprisingly the couple had tied the knot only three months ago. No suicide note was found. Singh's brother is married to Neelam's older sister and both the couples lived in the same apartment.
