Pawan Munjal Biography 
Pawan Munjal born on October 29 1954 in Ludhiana belongs to Munjal family of Hero group. Pawan is the third child of Shri Brijmohan Lall Munjal and Santosh Munjal. Currently Pawan Munjal is the Chairman, Managing Director & CEO of the Company. He is responsible for growth and strategic planning for the entire Group. He has been instrumental in continuous progress of the company in technological and managerial excellence.
Pawan Munjal currently lives in Delhi, but origins from Punjab. Pawan Munjal spent his childhood in Ludhiana and has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Kurukhshetra in Haryana. Pawan Munjal joined Hero Honda Motors in the early 1980s as director took over as managing director of Hero Honda Motors which has now been renamed Hero Motocorp in 2002. Pawan Munjal has his share of the company's successful transition in Hero Honda conversion to Hero Motocorp in the year 2011.
Pawan Munjal has the distinction of being on the board of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and Indian School of Business. Pawan Munjal has been the chairman of India’s automobile sector body SIAM, and has headed various groups on technology and innovation and sports. Pawan Munjal is a member of the World Economic Forum.
Pawan Munjal loves to play golf and was Chairman of the Asian PGA Tour Board of Directors. He has also been the President of Professional Golfers Association of India. Pawan Munjal has been the motivating source behind Hero MotoCorp launching of the Hero Indian Sports Academy in collaboration with Laureus Foundation.
Hero MotoCorp under the great leadership of Pawan Munjal has over 50 per cent share in the domestic motorcycle market in India. And in the financial year 2014-15 alone it sold a record number of 6.63 million two-wheelers which is the highest-ever annual sales of Hero Motor Bikes.
