Parvinder Awana Biography

Parvinder Awana is an Indian cricketer who plays IPL games and domestic cricket. He played two international T20 matches for team India in 2012 against England. He is a right-arm medium pace bowler and is associated with Delhi team in domestic cricket. He is a member of Kings XI Punjab squad in the Indian Premier League. He is associated with First Class matches since 2007. A right-arm medium pace bowler for his team, Awana has taken 139 wickets in 41 first class matches which include eight 5 wickets in an innings. He also took 10 wickets in one match and 6/84 is his best bowling figure.

 

Parvinder hails from Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He was born on 19 July 1986. He started playing domestic cricket with Delhi team and marked his first class debut in 2007 against Himachal Pradesh at the age of 19. He took 7 wickets in the first season. He made an impressive performance as a bowler in his second season at FC matches, where he took 28 wickets from 7 matches at an average of 24. Two five-wicket hauls and a ten were also included in this season.

 

In 2010-11 season, he was dropped from the Ranji team for his bad form. But he returned to the team the following year. His outstanding performance in the season earned him a berth for North Zone in the 2011-12 Deodhar Trophy. He played his first IPL match in the year 2012 as a player of Kings XI Punjab. Very soon he was picked up for England tour of national team. Thus he made his international T-20 debut the same year. He couldn’t get any wickets in both the T20 matches played against England.
