Paroma Banerji Biography 
Paroma Banerji is a television personality, actress and a singer, associated with Bengali entertainment industry. As a star anchor of TV shows, she is best known for Bengali game show Rojgere Ginni. As a television actress, she got noticed for the series, Superboudi, where she essayed the role of Onguri boudi. Following a difference in opinion with the makers of the show, she was banned from Bengali television industry for 2 years. She is a winner of the controversial reality show of celebrities – Bigg Boss.
One of the major turning points in her life was a chance meeting with Gautam Chatterjee of the famous Bangla band, Mohiner Ghoraguli in August 1994. She owned a music band at college, and was doing her second year then. She got opportunity to sing one of the songs for his new album — Abar Bochhor Kuri Pore. It got released in 1995 at the Calcutta book fair. She sang the duet, Ganga aside Gautam. The album was a huge hit, and she earned initial recognition in the music industry. While doing her final year MSc, she decided to quit studies, and her decision proved right.
She got opportunity to sing for jingles as well as a few songs for television shows such as Ebong Rituparno. She released her musical album, Ghore Ferar Gaan in 2003 which won the Music World Best Debut Music Album award. She anchored Rojgere Ginni, a reality show in 2001, which gave her a major breakthrough.
Today Paroma Banerji is one of the finest singers from Bengali music industry. She has done playback singing for the movies - Elar Char Adhyay, Bhuter Bhabishyat, Nouka Dubi, Narak Guljar, Chaturanga and Khela. She is mostly associated with television, and has anchored many shows. She has also been offered to host the show Dance Bangla Dance, after she won Bigg Boss.
