Pankit Thakker Biography

Pankit Thakker is a popular actor associated with Hindi television industry. Thakker is best known for playing the role of Dr. Atul Joshi in the series, Dil Mil Gayye on STAR One. Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii on Metro Gold, Kumkum on Star Plus, Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga on Big Magic, Twinkle Beauty Parlour Lajpat Nagar on SAB TV, Tu Kahe Agar on Zee TV, Kagaz kii Kashti on Sahara One, Tamanna on DD National, Special Squad on Star One, Tum Bin Jaaon Kahan on Zee TV, India Calling on STAR One and Dharampatni on NDTV Imagine are other major roles. He is regularly associated with STAR banner for different TV shows. He played anti-hero in Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli, one of his early shows which gave him early success.

He was born in Mumbai. His father is a stock broker. He started his career through modelling in 1997. With early 2000s, he moved to television shows. Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli (2001) – once telecasted on DD Metro gave him big break to television career. He played the role of Harsh Bhatia in this series. He is married to his co-star Praachi who played the role of Rakhi in the serial ‘Kasautii Zindagi Ki’. The couple has one son.

He did a negative role in ‘Tu Kahe Agar‘ with Shraddha Nigam.  Though he played negative roles in his early career, he concentrated on positive roles only. 13 years later he did an episode of ‘Agent Raghav‘ with grey shades in 2016. He also played an anti-hero in Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli. The actor feels that television is an insecure medium and one has to invest his earnings wisely. He believes that name, fame and money exist only till his last show lasts. As he is the son of a stock investor, he knows how effort is needed to become successful.
