Pankhuri Awasthi the 24 years old TV actress and video Jockey, is from Lucknow Uttar Pradesh. She is currently working in a popular period serial Razia Sulatan. Pankhuri who currently lives in Delhi was the student of Bluebells International School for about four years and then completed her graduation from Hindu College. Later she was placed in a Bangalore based company. She regularly participated in college dramas and did number of plays with other various theatre groups.

During her job in Bangalore she acted in one episode of Yeh Hai Aashiqui and that amde all the difference to her life. Her talent was spoted by makers of Razia Sultan and she was signed. Prior to signing Razia Sultan she was part of Fanaaha season 2 too. She did not hesitate and grabbed the role for serial of Razia Sultan and after routine audition she did a lot of research to act authentically he learned all the tricks. She has spent hours to practice the art of fighting, sword, expression and horse riding. She is playing the role in this serial with total authority.

Swastik Productions show Razia Sultan is based on the life of Razia Sultan, which airs on &TV. Pankhuri is playing the titular role in the show Razia Sultan as the first woman emperor in the early 13th century. 
Pankhuri feels that an actor she must live the character and not Pankhuri. And she is entirely happy that viewers have accepted her as Razia Sulatan and she is living the role of the character the life of the first woman ruler of India to the best of her ability.

She is not a foodie but does not mind experimenting with food. She says she does not mind eating, Pasta and Sandwich if does not get her favorite food Rice. She has dreams to see herself on big screen one day soon. For the time being she loves her newly acquired fame as an actor. as a person. She feels she has as an actor and learnt a lot doing Razia's role.
