Pallavi Purohit Biography

Pallavi Purohit is an Indian actress who works in television and cinema. She acts in Malayalam and Hindi movies and has also appeared in a few television commercials. Her father belongs to Palakkad, Kerala and she was brought up in Bangalore. Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is her most memorable television serial where she portrays the role of Padmini and it’s aired on Colors. In 203 she won Indian Telly awards for Best Actor (Popular) in a Supporting Role 2012 – Female for the same role. She has also received a nomination at Colors Golden Petal Awards 2012 for ‘Most Bhavuk Personality’. She quit the show when she received lead role in V. K. Prakash’s upcoming movie.

Pallavi was brought up in Bangalore where she completed her school and college education. Pallavi completed her Business Management and Hotel Management studies at Bangalore and started working with Oberoi Hotel in Bangalore. She gave up the job to pursue a career in acting. Later she worked in several televsion shows for Balaji Telefilms and Ekta Kapoor. First one among her noted roles was the role of Gayatri in the show Karam Apnaa Apnaa on Star Plus. She played the role of Gun in Balaji Telefilms’ another series, Kahanighargharki, aired on Star Plus. She replaced Arunima Sharma in the role of Rano in Kasamh Se.

Basera, Peehar,Bajega Band Baaja, Sapnon Se BhareNaina, Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Paap Punya Ka Lekha Jokha, Sanskar, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Jyoti, Bairipiya and Sujata are other daily soaps and television series in which she acted. She has received a role in Subhash Ghai’s upcoming movie – Kaanchi. Silence and Mr. Fraud are her other releases.
