As of now, she has sung in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi language films. She had years of struggle before she earned a name in the film industry. She had a hit each in Tamil (‘Adiyae Azhagae’) and Telugu (‘Chali Gaali Chuudduu’ from Gentleman) in the year 2016, before she bagged some of the big projects later. ‘Kannala Kannala’ from Thani Oruvan and the award-winning ‘Kadhalaam Kadavul Mun’ from Uttama Villain cemented her position in south Indian film industry very soon. She sang two beautiful tracks from Uttama Villain, which gave her more offers from Tamil cinema.

She recorded Kannala song in different styles, and later the composer Aadhi patched the song from different styles he recorded. The same thing was done with Kadhala song too, and the outcome is great to hear. Both Padmalatha focuses her time on music on learning its different styles, and till now has sung in six different languages. She has collaborated with friends to create two Tamil tracks for Doopadoo.com — one in the jazz-funk genre, and the second one, a blues number.
