P. G. Muthiah Biography 
P. G. Muthiah is a filmmaker and cinematographer associated with Tamil film industry. He is associated with film industry since 2008 and has completed one decade in the industry. Sasi’s 2008 movie, Poo marked his debut in the industry as a cinematographer and since then he has worked on a dozen of films. Since 2015 he produced a few movies and in 2018, he directed and produced Madura Veeran starring Samuthirakani and Shanmuga Pandian, marking his directorial debut. As a cinematographer, he frequently associated with director R. Kannan, and worked with him in 4 movies - Kanden Kadhalai, Vandhaan Vendraan, Settai and Oru Oorla Rendu Raja.
His full name is Muthiah Gopalaratnam. He was born in Alathudaiyanpatti, Tiruchirapalli of Tamil Nadu. He married his maternal aunt’s daughter Deepa in 2010. P. G. Muthiah marked his debut as a cinematographer in the year 2008 with the film, Poo directed by Sasi. After that he did the camera work of Kanden Kadhalai, Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani, Saguni, Vandhaan Vendraan, Aval Peyar Thamizharasi, Settai and Oru Oorla Rendu Raja before producing the first film in 2015. He has produced 4 movies in Tamil till now - Raja Manthiri (2016), Peechankai (2017), Madura Veeran (2018) which marked his directorial debut, and upcoming Marainthirunthu Paarkum Marmam Enna. Most of his films are low budget dramas to attract family audience.
As a cinematographer, his best works are Kandein Kadhalai, Saguni, Settai and Sandi Veeran. He entered production field venturing two films simultaneously. His debut film as a producer, Raja Manthiri was helmed by Usha who was earlier an assistant to Suseenthiran. Kalaiarasan and Balasaravanan starred in the film. In his upcoming movie - Marainthirunthu Paarkum Marmam Enna, he casted Dhruva and Iyshwarya Dutta in the lead roles.
