Ouseppachan Biography 
Ouseppachan is a music composer of Malayalam movies. He gives background music as well. He has received National awards for Ore Kadal in 2007 and Kerala state awards for Unnikale oru katha parayaam in 1987. Despite being one among the top music composers from middle 1980’s, he has received only 3 awards till now. He is a winner of SIIMA Awards too for his music in the movie ‘Ayaalum jnanum thammil’ in the year 2013.
Ouseppachan started his film career with ‘Kathodu Kathoram’. All the songs became huge hits – particularly the title track sung by Shailaja and Devadoothar paadi sung by Yesudas. Following the success of his first music score, he got good opportunities from all leading directors of Malayalam. His major music hits of 1990’s include Kakkoothi kavile appooppan thaadikal, Dina rathrangal, Unnikale oru katha parayaan, Pranamam, Mahayanam, January ororma, Vicharana, Vandanam and Chilambu. Songs like ‘Pudamuri kalyanam’ and ‘Thaarum thalirum’ of Chilambu, ‘Thirunelli kaavu poothu’ of Dina raathrangal, title song of Unnikale oru kadha parayaam, ‘Anthi ponvettam’ and ‘Kavilinayil’ of Vandanam, “swagatham’ of January ororma and ‘Kannam thumpi’ of Kaakkothi kaavile appooppan thaadikal were quite popular. He has done songs for many Mohanlal and Mamootty hit movies this time.
He maintained his momentum during 90’s too, contributing a lot to Malayala film industry. Songs of Ulladakkam of 1992 and Aniyathipravu of 1997 need special mention. Songs like O priye and Oru ragamalli (Aniyathi pravu) and Pathira mazhayetho (Ulladakkam) still appeal millions and years have not faded the beauty of its melodies yet. Other major hits of Ouseppachan include Aayushkaalam, Olympian Anthony Athem, Aakashadooth, Harikrishnans, vaazhunnor, Lelam, Ayushkaalam, Sundara killadi and Pookkalam varavai. Songs like ethoro vaarmukilin of Pookkalam varavi, Chumma chumma of Olympian Anthony Athem, Maunam swaramai of Ayushkaalam and Kaatile mainaye of Aakasha doot were other popular hits.
2000 started with Mohan Lal’s ‘Life is beautiful’. Ineyenthu nalkanam sung by Sujatha and Yesudas was a nice song to begin with. Other hits till now include Ayalum jnanum thammil, Punarathivasam, Mulla valliyum thenmaavum,Musafir, Vismayathumbathu, Body Guard, Dam 999, Ente veedu appoonteyum and Ee parakkum thalika. He did the theme music of Kochi Tuskers Kerala (IPL Team). His best background scores include a few Bollywood movies – Bum bum bole, Aakrosh and Khatta meetta.
