Omar Lulu Biography

Omar Lulu is an upcoming film director associated with Malayalam film industry who struck gold with his debut flick, Happy Wedding, released in 2016. This low-budget film with several newcomers worked in favour the director and was a sleeper hit. In 2017 he released his second film, Chunkz. His first film narrates a single day event and a bus journey, while his second film is a road trip movie.

Omar Lulu hails from Thrissur, Kerala. He was born in the year 1984. His early days were spent at his hometown Choondal, where he completed schooling. He completed his B. Tech course from Royal College of Engineering and Technology in Akkikavu, Thrissur. Before he made his debut in film industry in 2016, he started his own construction company and currently associated with both.

Omar’s debut flick is more or less an experiment film, which newcomers and less-known stars. On a tight budget, he chose Thrissur and Kochi as main locations of Happy Wedding. Though the movie had flaws, it was accepted by youngsters and was a sleeper hit in 2016. The movie also completed 100 days of theatric run. Sharafudheen, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson, Justin John and newcomer Drishya Raghunath played pivot roles in this comedy flick.

Omar attemped a comedy subject for his second film, Chunkz as well. The movie starred Honey Rose in lead role and was released in 2017. The movie received negative response from critics and was only an average grosser. The movie revolves around friendship and travel. The director will be teaming up with Megastar Mammootty for a big-budget project very soon and it will be fun filled comedy entertainer, as per sources. The movie will be a black comedy entertainer of local goons, set in the backdrop of Thrissur.
