Nivin Pauly Biography

Nivin Pauly is a successful south Indian actor and youth icon at present. He became over night star with the super success of Thattathin Marayathu, opposite Isha Talwar in the year 2012. His romantic looks, romantic dialogues and its delivery along with its super duper hit songs made him a campus hero. The movie was declared a block buster by box office too. His debut movie – Malarvadi arts club was the debut movie of Vineeth Srinivasan as director also, and this movie with less investment was declared a hit too. Thus his association with Vineeth Srineevasan is something like lucky for both these actors.

Nivin Pauly was born in Aluva of Eranakulam, Kerala in the year 1984. He is a B.Tech graduate from Federal Institute of Science And Technology, Kochi. He was working in Infosys, Bangalore too. Yet he quit the job to join modeling and acting field. When Nivin Pauly’s name was shortlisted for Malarvadi Arts Club, he didn’t even have any acting experience. He became the one among the 5 friends of the movie. He did similar role in Sevens (a group of 7 friends with Kunjakko Boban as main hero). In the movie ‘The metro’, he worked along with Sarath Kumar and Bhavana. The movie was based on 3 sub-stories and later concatenated together and all the incidents happen in commercial capital of Kerala, Kochi.  

Then he did brief roles in Traffic and Spanish Masala as well. Spanish Masala was not a commercial hit, but ‘Traffic’ consisting of a huge crew of actors was a blockbuster hit in Malayalam. This paved him the way to get the biggest assignment of his movie till now, Thattathin Marayathu. Once this movie was released, ‘Thattam’ (veil) became a craze in Malayalam campus. The story is about the love between a Hindu boy and Muslim girl and the incidents revolving around it. The fresh treatment given the director Vineeth Srinivasan made the movie, the biggest hit of 2012.

In 2013, his movie ‘Neram’ was released in Malayalam as well as Tamil. He was paired opposite Nzriya Nazim and the movie was a big hit at box office too. His movies – English directed by Shyama Prasad and Anju sundarikal, directed by 5 directors are critically well acclaimed and super successful movies of 2013.
