Nivas K. Prasanna Biography 
Nivas K. Prasanna is a film composer and playback singer associated with Tamil cinema. He made his debut as a music composer through Thegidi in 2014. Sethupathi, Zero and Kootathil Oruthan are his other works released till 2018. Currently he is working on the projects, Nenjamellam Kadhal, Kumki 2 and Titanic. In 2016 he marked his debut as a playback singer and rendered his voice for two of his compositions - "Mazhai Thooralam" of Sethupathi and "Indha Kaadhal Illaiyel" of Zero. He took the film industry by storm with his background score in the 2014 flick Thegidi. Its music score also earned him Edison Award for Best Debut Music Director and Behindwoods Gold Award for Find of the Year.
His full name is Nivas Krishnamoorthy Prasanna. He belongs to Tirunelveli district. Komal is his home town where he was brought up. Since the age of 5, he dreamt to become a music director. Nivas began learning Carnatic music at the age of 10. He also completed all seven grades of the piano during his higher secondary academic years. Soon after his matriculation, his family got shifted to Chennai. By that time he decided to pursue a career in music and soon after their shifting to Chennai, he enrolled on the Visual Communications course at SRM University. During those years he worked as a keyboard player for Rajesh Vaidhya and accompanied for stage shows in India and abroad.
He got opportunity to work with singer Saindhavi on creating a musical album titled Kannamma. In 2014 he made an impressive debut in Tamil cinema by scoring both tracks and background score for murder mystery film, Thegidi. He shot to fame with his debut work and earned some great projects in Tamil cinema.
