Nishan Biography

Nishan is an upcoming Malayalam actor who plays lead roles in Malayalam movies. Shyamaprasad's film Ritu marked his onscreen debut, aside a set of debut actors - Asif Ali, Rima Kallingal and Vinay Forrt. The movie was a box office hit. Sibi Malayil's Apoorvaragam which was released in 2010 established him as a talented young hero of Mollywood. Ee Adutha Kalathu, Ithu Nammude Katha, Geethaanjali, Radio, Climax, Gramam, Annum Innum Ennum, Manorama, Note out and 10:30 am Local Call are other noted releases of Nishan.

His full name is Nishan K. P. Nanaiah. He was born to K. S. Prasad and Padma on 7 December 1985 at Coorg, Karnataka. His father is a custom’s officer and Nishan was brought up in Kolkata. He was a university tennis player. Nishan took a diploma in acting from FTII, Pune before entering entertainment industry. After graduating, he moved to Mumbai to try his luck in Bollywood. He got his first role from Subhash Ghai. The movie was titled Cycle Kick. Unfortunately the film got delayed and released only in 2011.

When his debut movie got delayed, he moved to south. Thus Shyamaprasad's film Ritu marked his onscreen debut. Though not a Malayali, he is widely accepted by Kerala audience. In 2010, he debut Telugu cinema with Manorama. In 2013, he appeared in Bejoy Nambiar’s bilingual movie, David, released in Hindi and Tamil. He played negative shaded role in Ee Adutha Kalathu, a trendsetter Malayalam movie released in 2012. He played the role of a Hindi worker who got killed in a particular situation. The whole story revolves around hiding his murder. He played lead role in Malayalam thriller, 10:30 am Local Call, though the movie was a flop.
