Nisha Rawal is a successful model and actress, who became popular through music video of Sonu Nigam, Chanda ki doli. She made her debut in Bollywood with Raffo Chakkar and Hastey Hastey, both released in 2008 and has made her television appearance through Aane Wala Pal of Doordarshan in 2001, followed by Kesar (2004–2007) in Star Plus and Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki (2011–2012) in Life OK. She participated as contestant aside her husband, Karan Mehra in Nach Baliye season 5 on Star Plus. Karan Mehta is also a popular television actor of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, who has appeared in a few movies.

Nisha Rawal was born in Mumbai on 18 November 1984. She was born as the youngest child and has two elder brothers. Her school life was at Mumbai itself. She married Karan Mehra in 2012, after three years of dating. Nisha started her career as a model and has appeared in many television ads for cosmetic, jewelry and cola brands like Sunsilk, Tanishq, Coca cola and Fem bleech. Thus she was a popular face in fashion industry and music video of Sonu Nigam, Chanda ki doli made her a household name. Earleir she made her small screen debut through Doordarshan serial - Aane Wala Pal in 2001 aired on DD Metro channel. Later she played the role of Binita in Kesar and as Soumya Diwan in Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki.

Nisha was also a face of Shoppers Stop ads and has done photo shoots for magazines like L'Officiel and Elle. Apart from Chanda ki doli, she has also acted in Harbhajan Mann's Video Chain, Lucky Ali and Raghav Sachar. As a television actress, she is best known for her role of Soumya Diwan in Tv serial 'Main Laxmi Tere Aangan Ki'.
