Nilesh Sahay Biography

Nilesh Sahay is a Bollywood film actor who made his film debut with Ganesh Acharaya's 2011 film Angel. Born into an illustrious film family, he is the son of famous yesterday actress, Zaheeda Hussain, who played worked in Dev Anand’s films – Prem Pujari, Gambler and Jewel thief. But he is better known in the film industry as the nephew of actor Sanjay Dutt. Thus cine stars Nargis Dutt and Sunil Dutt were his great uncle and aunt. He is the great-grandson of Jaddan Bai, and grandson of filmmaker - Aktar Hussain.

Nilesh was born into a family with strong film roots. Obviously he too landed to the world of Bollywood films. He was born on 20th October 1983 in Mumbai. Kesri Nandan Sahay and Zaheeda are his parents. Since childhood he has been passionate about films and used to watch every type of films. He also did a lot of plays during my school and college days and also scripted a few. As he belonged to a filmy family, he received many film offers at a younger age, which he didn’t accept. He waited for the right script and director till he received the film - Angel. The actor also didn’t want to be launched by his famous uncle Sanjay Dutt, as he felt shame to hunt on his successful uncle’s banner.

Angel marked the directorial debut of choreographer Ganesh acharya and it also launched actress Madalassa Sharma, the daughter of actress Sheela Sharma of Nadiya Ke Paar fame. However the film released in 2011 went unnoticed and Nilesh couldn’t bag any Bollywood film later. So he attended a course on film direction and is currently working on a feature film.
