Nilesh Moharir Biography

Nilesh Moharir is an Indian music director who predominantly works in Marathi film industry. He is also associated with independent music and has composed many singles and private albums till now. He owns 46 title tracks, 15 non-film music albums and 8 movies in Marathi to his credit. He is also a singer and lyricist. His catchy and melodious tunes have made him a popular artist of today. He graduated in Music and Sound recording from Mumbai University before pursuing a career in music. He is composing music since mid-2000s and also releases devotional albums.

 

Nilesh Moharir hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He holds graduation in Music and Sound recording from Mumbai University. Before that he has trained Hindustani music from Anil Mohile and Achyuta Thakur. As a composer he began with Marathi TV shows before being promoted to films and other forms of music. He composed the title song to Zee Marathi's Kalat Nakalat, marking his debut. Later he composed the title track of Marathi serial Unch Maaza Zoka which made him a household name among Marathi TV viewers.

 

He released his first non-film album Amrutachi Godi in 2004. It was followed by Akshayrupam Parabramha, Jai Ganesh, Bhagwantache Dene, Naadbramha, Kuber Wealth Mantras etc. He has worked with leading playback singers like Suresh Wadkar, Sadhana Sargam, Shankar Mahadevan, Vaishali Samant, Anuradha Paudwal, Shridhar Phadke and also classical singers like Aarti Anklikar-Tikekar for his non-filmy albums.

 

Chhadi Lage Cham Cham in 2005 marked his debut in Marathi films as a composer. It was followed by Yanda Kartavya Ahe, Supari, Bhola Shankar, Hota Asa Kadhi Kadhi etc. Some of his recent works include - Ti Saddhya Kay Karte, Mitwaa, Photocopy etc.
