Nicolette Bird Biography

Nicolette Bird is an Indian actress and model who has acted in a few Bollywood movies. She is best known for the roles she played in the movies - “Rock On” (2008) and “Striker” (2010). She was also seen in the music video of the popular remixed version of the song – ‘Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Re’ released in 2000. She was seen in a white dress as one among the four girls of the popular remix song of Harris Anand. Tanushree Dutta, Rizwan and Drishti Dhami were the other girls pictured in the song. She was also seen in an item song of a Telugu hit - Boss, I Love You (2006).

She was born in Kolkata, West Bengal. Edwina Bird and Nicholas Bird are her parents. Her father has been a radio jockey, while her mother a consultant for Databazaar.com. She entered entertainment industry as a model and was featured in the popular music video - ‘Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Re’ (2000). After doing an item song in a movie in South, she made her film debut through the super hit film - “Rock On” (2008). She played the character role of Farhan Akhtar’s girlfriend Tania in the movie. The movie also marked the debut of Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai on big screen as actors. She played the role of a conservative Muslim girl Noorie in her next movie – Striker.

She met Ravi Mehta, her future husband in 2008. They were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in a hotel at Mumbai. They dated for a while and later got married. As a model, she has done many ad campaigns and was seen in TV ads of Garnier, Elle 18, Maruti Swift, Doy Care, Honda Shire etc.
