Nattasha Singh Biography

Nattasha Singh is a television actress, best known for playing the role of Kirti Diwan, Sanju's sister and the bubbly talkative emotional daughter of Navin Nischol and Farida Jalal in the iconic comedy sitcom in the 1990s aired on Doordarshan, Dekh Bhai Dekh. The actress has later appeared in the TV shows, 'Saath Phere', 'Milan' etc. She also played female lead in 2010 Bollywood film based on terrorism, Mission 11 July. The movie went unnoticed.

Her full name is Natasha Ajit Singh. She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father Ajit Singh is a singer and composer, and her mother Gittanjali Singh is a numerologist. She started her acting career in the year 1993 playing the teenager daughter of Navin Nischol and Farida Jalal in Doordarshan sitcom, Dekh Bhai Dekh. The show became so popular that almost all actors who appeared in it later earned fame in cinema and television. Actors like Navin Nischol and Farida Jalal were already established actors of big screen, who forayed into small screen roles.

She played Arun Govil's daughter in Doordarshan series, Woh Hue Na Hamare in the 1990s after her appearance in Dekh Bhai Dekh. In year 2000, she played her first lead role for the TV soap, Milan aired on Sony TV. The show aired 58 episodes during 2000-2001, and Rohit Roy played the male lead opposite Nattasha Singh who played lead protagonist Chanchal. Her co-star of debut series, Navin Nischol also became a part of the show. Angaan, Oh Daddy!, Saat Phere are some of the shows she appeared later, and all these shows were aired on ZEE TV. She took a break from acting in the mid-2000s, and returned with her Bollywood debut film, Mission 11 July in 2010.
