Nancy Jennifer Biography

Nancy Jennifer is a film actress associated with Tamil cinema. She has earlier worked as a child artist in Tamil cinema, and her name was credited as Baby Jennifer those days. She worked as a child artist in the 1990s. In the 2000s she moved to teenager supporting roles and later to lead actress roles. She also works as a TV host for Star Vijay, and works in TV soaps too. Nancy played lead role in low budget Tamil movies such as Thozha (2008) and Puthiya Payanam. Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, Something Something... Unakkum Enakkum, Ghilli, Kootathil Oruthan, Kalkandu etc are a few of her noted big screen roles.

Nancy Jennifer was born on 20 July 1988 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She started her film journey as a child artist in Tamil cinema. She was first seen as a child in an uncredited role in 1991 film, Kizhakku Karai when she was only three years old, followed by Idhuthanda Sattam. Her first credited role is Thayagam in 1996, and she played child artist role throughout 1990s. Her role as Sona in 1997 film, Nerrukku Ner was well noticed. Ulavuthurai, Kanmani Unakkaga, Asokavanam etc followed this role.

She played Vijay's sister in 2004 film, Ghilli. In the second half of 2000s, she moved to adult roles, and played female lead in Thozha and Puthiya Payanam. With limited success in lead roles, she switched back to supporting roles, and some of her roles got noticed. She was last seen in 2017 film Kootathil Oruthan. She has also done one Telugu film, Something Something in 2013. Thayumanavan, Keladi Kanmani, Valli etc are her TV shows, and she along with Ramakrishnan won the first season of the reality show, Star Wars.
