Nakash Aziz Biography

Nakash Aziz is a young budding star of Indian music industry associated with Bollywood. Known as a playback singer and composer, he holds many special songs to his credit. As the ghost singer of actor Shahid Kapoor, his best songs are "Sari Ke Fall Sa" and "Gandi Baat" from the film R... Rajkumar (2013) and "Dhating Nach" from film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (2013).

Other popular songs are "Selfie Le Le Re" of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, "Pungi" of Agent Vinod, Heer Toh Badi Sad Hai of Tamasha, "Second Hand Jawaani" of Cocktail, PhataPhati of Barfi, "Suno Aisha" of Aisha and many more. Frequently associated with A. R. Rahman music, he has worked under Rahman as an assistant for movies like Highway, Raanjhanaa, Rockstar, Delhi 6 and I. In 2014, he received Zee Cine Awards - SA RE GA MA PA Fresh Singing Talent.

Aziz was born on born February 24, 1985 Moodbidri, a small town near Mangalore into a family of singers. While studying in class 10, when his parents bought him a computer he has already built his dream to work with Rahman and explained that he has started preparing for it. Aziz worships AR Rahman and a few days later during the initial days in Mumbai, he got a small part-time music arranging job for a reality show where Rahman was a judge. A friend was also with him and the guys somehow managed to make him listen to a couple of their compositions. Rahman offered him an arranging job and thus Aziz got an opportunity to work with Rahman for movies like Highway, Raanjhanaa, Rockstar, Delhi 6 and I. He also sang for Rahman for Hundred Foot Journey and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. He also assisted composer Pritam for five years.
