Najim Arshad Biography 
Najim Arshad is an upcoming Indian playback singer who predominantly works in Malayalam movies. He has also sung a few Hindi and Tamil songs. He is the winner of the top singing reality show of Malayalam – Idea Star Singer 2007. He is one of the top rated and promising young singers of Malayalam singers at present and he has sung songs for latest releases like Law Point, Paathiramanal, Philips and the Monkey Pen, Nadan, Vikramaditya, Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum, Trivandrum Lodge, Da thadiya, Karma Yodha, Ayalum Njanum Thammil, Diamond Necklace, Friday, Casanovva, Red wine, Emmanuvel, Oru Indian Pranayakatha, Dhrishyam, Ring Master etc. Thotte Thotte of Diamond Necklace and Omanapoove of Oru Indian Pranayakatha, both for Fahadh Faasil are his chartbuster songs up-to-date. Kanninullil Nee Kanmani of Trivandrum Lodge is another chartbuster song of Najim.
Najim Arshad was born on the 8th of June, 1986 to Tirumala Shahul and Rehma. His father is a retired as an administrative officer of Vigilance department while his mother is a music teacher. He is the youngest of three brothers. Idea star singer proved to be the turning point of his career and after that he got opportunity to work in Malayalam movies. 2007 movie, Mission 90 Days marked his singing debut. The song was ‘Mizhineer’. Meghamalhar in 2011 was his first private album. Very soon he released his private album - I'm Here, which was also a hit.
Later Arshaad got opportunity to work with all leading and young music directors of Malayalam like Jassie Gift, Gopi Sundar, Bijilal, Vinu Thomas, Sharreth and veterans like Vidya Sagar, Mohan Sithara and Ouseppachan. In 2013 he received Kerala Film Critics Association Award for best singer for the movies Emmanuel and Dhrishyam.
